Bumpout Window
The original window in our game room was a large sliding window. As you can see we desired something better that would hold plants.
We decided to install what's called a bumpout window.
I was young then and did this job entirely by myself. As you can see, I designed a wood scaffolding onto which I was able to lift the framing of the window and then attach it to the outside of the house,
There is always the unexpected. While the bumpout window had more height than the original window, it was slightly less wide. The original was not exectly centered on the wall. I took care of that .
You can see in one of the pictures, I had to splice in some T-111 siding to accommodate the new window,
