Different Crosses for Different Occasions

The cross here is an enlarged version of the necklace crosses that I make. I custom made this for the wife of a dear friend.

She liked the necklace cross I was wearing but wanted a tabletop version. So I came upwith this. It's still 1/4" wide and thick but now 6" tall by 3" wide.

The crosses here are similar to  those used at some Christian retreats. They are simple half-lapped crosses made of cedar. The cross is about 7" high by 4" wide. The nail, a square flooring nail, to remind us of the kind of large nails that were used to crucify Jesus is epoxied to the cross.

There are several options on what direction you desire the nail to be positioned. Also, the cross can be pristine or it can contain a 'scar' , a nail hole or other defect in the wood, to represent the sins that Christ bore for us.

The cross below is  a 7 foot tall by 3 foot wide on the arms,; the cross is 3" thick and just over 5" wide on the tace.  This one was made to fit in a metal stand but I  can make it to fit in a custom made stand made from wood.
