Goldens Woods

The whale-end shelf is my second craftsman furniture product and the first I took while attending a workshop at a once-a-weeknight class at a local high school. That was a great way to get into the mindset of becoming a craftsman/woodworker.

The top technique I learned was how to hand-cut dovetails. In much of the projects I make today, I use a router but it is a nice ‘old world’ skill to know.

I used teak in the creation of this piece.
