Hidden Storage Spaces

The builder in my Texas house used the space under the staircase as a first floor closet. That's a great use of space. As for me, it didn't maximize the use of space available.

I sliced open the back wall of the closet to gain access to additional space for not frequently used items. This is important for storage of paint and other temperature sensitive items.

In my Massachusetts kitchen there were lower cabinets 90 degrees to the stove. The cabinet wall created a dead space from the left side of the stove to the kitchen wall.

This space WAS accessible from the back wall, behind the stove to its right. Again a lot of storage space uncovered.
