Massachusetts House Room Corner
The room where I added an open/close skylight is the same room that received the mini bumpout windows.
In this first picture, the side entrance gets you into the kitchen. Upon entering the house, immediately to the left is the entrance to our private living room.
I hope you can also see from the next picture that the room accesses the deck using a sliding door.
The real problem with the room's design was that it had an entry from the main hallway of the house and another entry from the kitchen.
That restricted our ability to use our L-shaped sofa in that room.
I came up with the idea of walling off the hall entry. Margie feared that closing it off would make the room tiny. I solved that by keeping the closing wall to 1/2 height.
